Morrisons Heritage Museum In Morrison IL

Morrisons Heritage Museum is located in Morrison, IL at the corner of School Street and Monroe Avenue. It is open only on weekends from Memorial Day through Labor Day, during the summer months.

There are many things to do here. These include exploring the Heritage Village with over 20 historical buildings including a general store, school house, one room school house , an old historic church and more; hay rides; train ride; antique carousel; tractor display; blacksmith shop; petting zoo (goats); 4-H exhibits including quilting exhibition, wood carving exhibit and model building exhibit; live demonstrations including candle making demonstration, butter churning demonstration and glass blowing demonstration (held three times daily); Native American Camps (weekends only); pioneer kitchen/pumpkin bake-off on Tuesdays; community garage sale on Sat. 8am to 4pm; antique appraisals (by appointment); history lectures (held in the school house).

The museum also provides wheel chair accessible restrooms and water fountains.

Morrisons Heritage Museum is open only on weekends from Memorial Day through Labor Day, during the summer months. Admission fee is $5/person; children 6 years old and under are free. Hours of operation are 10am to 5pm every Saturday and Sunday. The museum is closed Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays plus all major holidays including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year day.
